About WETA
The Whittier Elementary Teachers' Association is an association of teachers in the Whittier City School District in Whittier, California. The primary purposes of this Association is to:
The Whittier Elementary Teachers' Association is a chartered chapter of the California Teachers' Association and is an affiliated local association of the National Teachers' Association.
- represent its members in their relations with their employer;
- advance the general welfare of the schools;
- provide an opportunity for continuous study and actions on the problems of the profession;
- raise the standards of the teaching profession;
- promote professional attitudes and ethic conduct among members;
- encourage the cooperation and communication between the profession and the community;
- foster good fellowship among members; and
- form and provide a representative body capable of developing group opinion on professional matters to speak with authority for teachers.
